BTS (Bangtan Boys) has garnered over 500 million views on their music video of DNA for the first-ever achievement among Korean groups. DNA from their mini album, LOVE YOURSELF ‘Her’ (LOVE YOURSELF Shou ‘Her’) received 500 million views on 1.22 am, 20th Sep. This leaded BTS to become the first Korean group which has the record of achieving 500 million views in the shortest period on YouTube.
DNA has accumulated 100 million views in 24 days, 200 million in 3 months, and 300 million in 5 months, and 400 million in 9 months worldwide.
BTS intended to express “we’ve been together from entangled ‘DNA’ as a destiny since the beginning of universe” illustrating the scenes of travel between virtual reality and space.
Aside from DNA, BTS has four music videos including FIRE with 400 million views, FAKE LOVE with 300 million views, which is remix of DOPE, Blood, Sweat and Tears and MIC Drop. Also, other songs like Not Today, Save ME and Boy In Luv have been watched 200 million times respectively, while Spring Day, Danger, I NEED U, War of Hormone have recorded 100 million views each.
On 7 November their 9th single “FAKE LOVE/Airplane pt.2” is releasing in Japan. This Korean group is going to come for dome tour in four Japanese cities with nine performances expecting to have 380,000 audience from 13 November: Tokyo Dome (13 and14 Nov.), Kyosera Dome (21, 23 and 24 Nov.), Nagoya Dome (12 and 13 Jan.), and Fukuoka Yahuoku! Dome (16 and 17 Feb.).
